ACADEMIC SUMMARY

Mauricio Ramirez-Castrillon obtained his BSc. in biology from the Universidad del Valle in 2009. In 2011, obtained a scholarship from the "Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento e Pesquisa" CNPq to study a MSc. in Cell and Molecular Biology at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil. His PhD. degree in Cell and Molecular Biology was obtained in 2017 at the same Faculty, specifically at Biotechnology Center. In 2015-2016 was guest internship (Ph.D. sandwich) at Westerdijk Fungal Biodiversity Institute in The Netherlands. He joined to Universidad Santiago de Cali as full time professor and researcher in 2017.

Dr. Ramirez-Castrillon is author of more than 24 papers in prestigious international journals.
